Gary Coley

Gary Coley presided for sixteen years as the Judge of the 74th District Court in McLennan County. His docket included all types of cases, with a concentration in family law, juvenile law, and Child Protective Services cases. 

Outside of the courtroom, Gary worked closely with local officials to develop programs such as the McLennan Crossover Youth Project Model and the McLennan County Veterans Treatment Court. He co-founded the Heart of Texas Human Trafficking Coalition and conducted training for judges, prosecutors, and law enforcement in Poland, Indonesia, and Nepal to combat human trafficking.

In 2025, Gary transitioned to private practice, concentrating on all aspects of alternative dispute resolution. He is a committed civic leader and serves as an adjunct professor at Baylor Law, teaching Juvenile Justice. 

He holds a B.B.A. from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctorate from Baylor Schol of Law.
